When it comes to financial advice, one piece Colin finds himself repeating is the importance of maintaining a strong savings rate. “It’s the biggest driver of financial success,” he notes. “I’d rather see someone with a great savings rate and mediocre investment returns than someone with poor savings habits and high returns.” This pragmatic approach helps clients focus on what truly matters for long-term stability.
Outside the office, Colin is a devoted family man, spending most of his time with his kids—often driving them to and from their activities. “It’s hectic, but I love it,” he says, adding that the chaos of family life is something he cherishes. Travel is another passion, though the itineraries have evolved as his family has grown.
As for the future of the financial industry, Colin is excited about the growing emphasis on transparency and consumer-friendly options. “It’s been a slow process, but I’m optimistic that the quality of services and resources available to clients will only get better.” His forward-thinking approach helps ensure that his clients will benefit from the latest industry developments.
