Portfolio Analyst

Mission of the Role:
To assist and support the portfolio management team in executing the recommendations of the investment committee into client portfolios, in concert with Advisor and considering client specific goals and constraints.
Reports to:
This role reports to the Director of Portfolio Management.
Primary Functions:
As a Portfolio Analyst, you will be an essential member of the Wealth Management Team, actively contributing to the client investment strategy execution.
- Assist in the reconciliation of trades and monitoring custodian alerts.
- Utilize software used to manage and track portfolios, including but not limited to Orion, SalesForce, Eclipse and Excel to track cashflows and cash balances in client accounts.
- Manage and complete assigned portfolio management-related projects with minimal oversight by the requested deadline, free of errors, and with clear and robust communication across the life of the project. • Manage and continuously aim to improve assigned recurring tasks.
- Work closely with interns to ensure the portfolio management tasks assigned to them are being worked on diligently and identify additional opportunities for interns to assist with the portfolio management process.
Qualifications:
- Plan to work towards relevant financial designation(s).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Excellent client, organizational, and analytical abilities.
- Ability and willingness to work as part of a team.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Self-motivated.
- Technical expertise in the investment industry.
- Knowledge of basic financial concepts and strong analytical abilities.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to prioritize workloads and complete tasks within defined guidelines and time constraints.
