As Director of Investment Research and decade-plus veteran of the investment team, Tom seeks to identify strategies, evaluate opportunities, and monitor investments that enhance our clients’ goals, objectives, and passions.  Tom works closely with his fellow analysts, the Chief Investment Officer, David Fisher, and other senior leaders to think strategically about how the investment opportunities today and in the future can add value to client portfolios.  Tom credits his father for modeling the impact that teaching and mentoring can have as his father routinely received teacher of the year at a large hospital in Chicago.  Tom also shares this passion for mentoring through our intern program, which he developed, helping to shape the future of the financial industry.

Prior to joining SignatureFD, Tom worked with HomrichBerg and Diversified Trust.  Many of his efforts were centered on alternative investments with responsibilities including launching, investing, communicating and monitoring private strategies in asset classes including real assets and private equity.  Tom began his investment career as a private equity analyst with a regional boutique while pursuing a dual master’s degree at the University of Denver.

After graduating with an MBA with an IT Concentration and an MS of Finance, Tom moved to Marietta, where he became an active member of First Presbyterian Church Marietta. During his time at First Presbyterian, Tom has served as Moderator of the Diaconate, Elder and an active participant on strategic planning groups. Previously, he served on MUST Ministries Board of Directors for approximately six years.
